Restoration Hardware is Swapping Landlords in San Marcos

RH, the upscale home goods retailer formerly known as Restoration Hardware, appears to be moving its San Marcos store from a Simon-owned shopping mall to the Tanger Outlets.

At present, RH leases a location just down the road at Simon’s San Marcos Premium Outlets at 3939 Interstate 35. San Marcos is known for its outlet shops that line I-35, just south of Texas State University.

Simon representatives declined to comment whether the RH Premium Outlets would be closing. Tanger representatives were also unable to comment. RH stores don’t usually sell pairs, unlike gas stations and mattress shops.

RH has been a major player in real estate markets, thanks to its expansion of restaurant and hospitality services over the years. RH was acquired by the firm in September. 850 acres$25 million for Napa Valley in California. It plans to open a winery on the property and a guesthouse. It had previously planned on spending more than $100 million to build a RH-branded hotel at Miami. The deal fell apartHe is now in prison.

The record is held by Stucky Vitale Architects of Michigan. A representative of the firm did not respond to a telephone request for comment.
