The Montana Department of Environmental Quality has issued a "Air Quality" statement.
Quality alert for Beaverhead Big Horn Blaine, Blaine, Broadwater and Carbon
Cascade, Chouteau and Deer Lodge, Fergus Flathead, Gallatin and Glacier
Golden Valley, Granite Hill, Jefferson, Judith Basin and Lake, Lewis
Clark, Liberty, Madison, Madison, Meagher and Mineral, Missoula
Musselshell, Park, Petroleum, Phillips, Pondera, Powell, Ravalli,
Sanders, Silver Bow, Stillwater, Sweet Grass, Teton, Toole,
Treasure, Wheatland and Yellowstone counties are in effect until 10 AM

It is higher than the 24 hour National Ambient Air
Quality Standard (NAAQS), may have occurred in the near future.
At 0400 PM MDT, Hamilton's Particulate Levels are Very Unhealthy.
At 0400 PM MDT, Particulate levels in Seeley Lake and the Flathead have been updated
Valley, Missoula. Libby. Dillon. Thompson Falls. Frenchtown.
Helena is Unhealthy.
As of 0400 PM MDT Particulate levels in Billings – Lockwood
area, Miles City (Bozeman) and Broadus are unhealthy for sensitive
Particulate levels in Cut Bank (Malta, West) as of 0400 PM MDT
Moderate is Yellowstone, Lewistown Great Falls, Great Falls and Butte.
If the air quality is Very Unhealthy... State or local health
Officials recommend that people suffering from heart or respiratory disease,
Outdoor activities should be avoided by the elderly and children.
Everyone else should avoid prolonged exertion.
Air quality that is unsafe... State and local health officials
We recommend that anyone with a heart or respiratory disease, such as those with asthma, should consult their doctor.
Elderly and children should not exert themselves for prolonged periods; everyone else should.
You should limit your exertion.
If the air quality is unsafe for sensitive groups... State and
Local health officials recommend that people suffering from respiratory or heart disease consult their local health authorities.
Children and the elderly should limit their exposure to heart disease.
When the air quality is Moderate... State health officials and local health officials
Recommend that people with unusually sensitive skin consider reducing their intake
Exercising for long periods of time or with heavy exertion.
